The history of TIP

As we unravel the fourth edition of the Technology Incubator Programme, we would like to take you on the journey that had allowed us build this unique enterprise. As with any endeavor, there was no shortage of obstacles, but our vision and steadfast resolve helped us convert these into opportunities. The journey began with an ambitious plan hatched in the confines of a hostel room by a bunch of far-sighted then second-yearites. Seeing the appalling conditions of students’ knowledge and activities in the sphere of innovation, we decided to act upon it. We hoped to bring together a bunch of students who had achieved mastery in particular fields in the different realms of engineering and offer their mentorship to those willing enter these technical fields thus eliminating the hardest part of this transition by providing a ready reckoner of sorts.

SEM 1

2015 - 2016

Our third edition in the first semester of 2015-2016 was a big step up from our previous editions. The type of projects were more myriad this time around and even though the number of mentors was modest, the number of participants as well as the number of projects reaching completion were the highest ever. With several tangible finished products as well as in-session videos and other material, this was the most productive edition by far.

SEM 2

2014 - 2015

Overpowering several logistical hurdles, we presented our second edition of TIP. While being significantly low-key compared to our previous edition, it was much more toned resulting in it being more in track with our aims than previously. With increased interaction between mentor and mentee we managed to achieve high levels of cooperation which enabled the mentors to take their projects to greater stages of completion. In this edition we also started awarding certificates so that all work done under its fold can bear an official mark.

2014 - 2015

Visionary as it was, our first session proved to be a resounding success with several projects reaching completion. Mentors were happy to receive extra help in the form of untrained but highly willing juniors and the mentees were successfully introduced into the folds of technological innovation in a manner not seen on campus ever before.

Led by the current CSA President Yashoraj Tyagi, we hope to bring you another great edition with several upgrades to try and help you, the student, to make most of the years spent on campus.
